Encounter Festival

Thank you to Arts Council England who have assisted in ensuring the sustained growth and success of Encounter, through financial support (£90,000). These vital contributions will help create a dynamic and sustainable platform for artistic excellence and cultural celebration. Arts Council England are the national development agency for creativity and culture. With a strategic vision in Let's Create that by 2030 England will be a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish and where everyone of us has access to a remarkable range of high quality cultural experiences. The Arts Council England invest public money from Government and The National Lottery to help support the sector and to deliver on its vision.

Encounter Festival is part of the Preston City Council city event programme, which has received £156,000 this year from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Encounter Festival is a partner in Without Walls, a consortium of festivals and arts organisations bringing fantastic outdoor arts to people in towns and cities across England.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF or the Fund) is a central pillar of the UK government's ambitious Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK. Encounter Festival has received £156,000 this year from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
