Lights That Lead Us There - Song Sharing with County of Song's Loz Kaye

Your chance to be part of Preston's Encounter Festival sharing songs of love, longing and light to welcome autumn!

Join County of Song's Loz Kaye for a vocal sharing exploring songs of love, longing and light to welcome autumn! We are planning to bring a singing group together for a fun, relaxed sharing on the "Communities and Traditions" stage at the Encounter Festival in Preston in the afternoon of Saturday 21 September 2024.

We'll be giving the voice a workout and exploring music new and familiar through singing and generally making a noise. Join us in a lightning tour from Oasis to Danish carols... This engaging performance is inspired by the theme of light - and chasing away the shadows as the nights draw in.

You can take part just by joining our sharing runthrough in the morning of Saturday 21 September 2024, but we'd recommend attending at least one workshop ahead of the sharing, (or more if you can make it!). They will be taking place in Preston and Lancaster, details below.

This workshop is suitable for all ages, and no particular experience is needed  - you just need an open mind and enthusiasm.

We are happy for families and young people to join. People under 15 should be accompanied by an adult. Young people (7-18) are also welcome to join along with Preston Music Centre on Thursday 12 September 4pm - 5pm.

Message us or contact Rachel Hughes on Rachel.Hughes@lancashire.gov.uk for details.
