Encounter Festival 2024 Volunteer Stewarding

Encounter Festival is seeking volunteers to support delivery of Encounter Festival (21 - 22 September 2024).

Volunteer stewards will work with the events team across all aspects of the programme; supporting shows, liaising with artists and audiences, helping with evaluation and creating content for our social media channels.

In return you will gain valuable experience in event management and get to see a whole range of theatre, street shows and music. Full training will be given in all tasks.

Tasks included will be:

• Providing audiences with guidance and information.
• Welcoming artists, showing them to their dressing rooms and performance venues.
• Completing evaluation questionnaires with audiences and following up with data collection and inputting e.g.. Audience numbers.
• Content creation for social media.
• Site dressing.

Refreshments and support will be available for all volunteer shifts.
