Everywhere's a Beach

Date: Sunday 22 SeptemberTime: 12pm and 2pmWinckley Square

Join us for a day at the beach unlike any other in this high energy, outdoor circus theatre show!

Perfect for the whole family, Everywhere's a Beach is a charmingly ridiculous performance taking place on a giant revolving beach parasol!

This dynamic, dizzying and downright daft show will leave you dancing with delight!

You'll be swept away as this show embraces everything we love about the beach. Our spinning parasol creates the perfect setting for our eccentric beach loving characters. Watch as their world collides with yours, as sophistication turns to chaos in this aerial circus performance.

A bit about Hikapee

Hikapee is run and led by Bryony and Edd Livesey-Casey.

The company is based in Epsom, Surrey and has been creating circus theatre since 2014.

Hikapee make narrative driven work that tells stories of the world we live in for the small and tall. Driven to explore the collaboration of storytelling and aerial circus, previous work has toured to theatre spaces, outdoor festivals, village halls, schools and on screen productions.

Hikapee highlights include co-producing work with international companies (The Hidden People), being commissioned by large festivals/venues such as Latitude, Watford Palace Theatre, GDIF, The Lyric Hammersmith, Without Walls to create new work (HOME and Look Up) and creating part of the official Queen's Platinum Jubilee Parade in 2022.

Speaking of the work, Bryony Livesey-Casey, Artistic Director comments:

"Everywhere's a Beach is a show full of joy, silliness and beautiful storytelling. It has been made so that adults and children alike will enjoy watching it. The unique parasol that the show revolves around perfectly sets the scene for this fun show, and allows the performers to climb, swing and dangle up high, allowing audiences great sightlines and unique perspective."

Accessibility

Everywhere's a Beach is a non-verbal production, making it accessible for deaf audiences, and for audiences who may not use English as a first language.
